“What to eat in Jurong East?” This is a commonly heard question among those who are unfamiliar with the West. Granted, the Boon Lay area still has a forest and Joo Koon is pretty industrial. However, this is no reason to erase the West side of Singapore from your foodie maps!

The Jurong East complex is large and full to the brim with hidden JEMs (pun intended). There are so many food places that it’ll be impossible to list them all here, so we are focusing on the malls surrounding Jurong East MRT station for your convenience.

“Went for lunch. Lunch deals were worth it. The standard ramen with a few pc of gyoza or chicken karage was $15 per person after tax. Overall the Ramen was great and portions were good! Ingredients were also sufficient and not just a whole bunch of noodles! Will definitely recommend for a chill meal at a good price.”

“Came by here for dinner and tried the Mixed Bowl tendon as I love tempura. We was impressed by the gold-plated cutlery! In my opinion, the crust is a little too thick but the portion of ingredients is adequate. I took the set which comes with Chawanmushi and Miso Soup at $3. We had the Yuzu Yogurt soda and that was refreshing and worth the order. There was only one staff attending to the patrons but as it wasn’t crowded, it was ok. She was friendly and gave sufficient attention.”
