Enjoyed my stay and opined that it is the perfect place for family and loved ones to chill and catch up and while the evening away.”

“Ready for your Friday night drinks? Visited on a Sunday late afternoon and it was really nice. Beer is always good on a windy day, hot day, rainy day. The environment of this space is also very cosy, there’s good spatial distancing and the vibes are chill and nice for a beer or two. I would definitely think of this place when I’m in the area.”

“This joint has always been one of my favourite haunts for craft beer after absolute classes nearby at DTG. Great rotation of taps and friendly knowledgeable staff. Wicked grungy ambience and BGM. One of the rare places in SG where I actually love to go on the lonesome. Sitting at the bar counter and throwing back some pints is always a pleasure. Cheers!”

Orh Gao’s kopitiam aesthetic is a refreshing take on the look and feel of a bar. It is a novelty in an industry which pitches itself as either gritty and vintage or industrial and modern. Known as Killiney Kopitiam in the day, it transforms into a bar when evening comes around. With their Asian fusion food and extensive selection of craft beers from around the world, it is easy to relish in the faint feelings of nostalgia that the setting evokes.

7. Almost Famous

Almost Famous will not hold their title of being “almost” famous for long. Sparsely-decorated, their sleek furniture punctures the empty space. This is intentional, so as to focus diners’ senses entirely on their beers. Sporting 16 rotating taps, some of the best beers in Asia, and particularly Singapore, make an appearance.

“One of the best craft beer drinking experiences I have had! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The industrial design is cool and welcoming, even during a rainy day. Really enjoy the deconstructed design language of tables and chairs. Most importantly, the drink list is very well put together.  Great place to hang out for anyone who enjoys a quick snip of craft beer.”

8. In Bad Co.

In Bad Co. has even the pickiest drinkers down bad. Their extensive ingredients lists are a lifesaver for many, as drink names like “Bloody Mary” can sometimes conceal their gastronomic makeup very well (tomato juice, not blood, in case you were wondering). Pleasing to the palate and affordable, their local, regional, and seasonal beers are a treat.
